LASEROPTEK’s Picosecond Laser, “PicoLo” acquired the license by “Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.”
LASEROPTEK, the manufacturer of medical & industrial laser devices, announced that they’ve acquired the license for its new laser device, “PicoLo” by MFDS (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) on August 6th.

Nd:YAG picosecond laser, PicoLo with the latest brand-new technology is capable of destroying pigmented particles more efficiently by deeper penetration to dermis for short time.

Furthermore, PicoLo receives worldwide attention for both pulse duration that is 1000 times shorter than nanosecond laser and not only a treatment of pigmented lesions but also, efficacy to minimize adverse effects, pain, and damages around treated areas.

Chang Jin Lee, CEO and President of LASEROPTEK, explained that PicoLo as the result of intensive LASEROPTEK’s technology provides users a high stability in short pulse duration and output energy. It also maximizes users’ convenience through the largest spot size (20x20mm), so users can experience picosecond genuine effects.

He added that a high stability and outstanding beam profile should be assured for users to experience LIOB (Laser-induced Optical Breakdown) and photomechanical efficacy.

Meanwhile, PicoLo is compact and has a chic design, so LASEROPTEK was awarded Good Design. LASEROPTEK also became the first domestic laser manufacturer approved by MDSAP (Medical Device Single Audit Program) in Korea medical laser device industry.
